Outdoor Activities in Glencoe, Scotland
The area of Glencoe and the whole of Lochaber offer a good variety of outdoor activities from cycling and walking routes, watersports, climbing and of course winter sports. Fishing is popular on hill lochs and on the sea. The links on the left provide a good guide to what's available in the whole area of Lochaber where you can hire equipment, try a new activity of the first time, or get involved in something in another part of the Lochaber area but still base yourself in Glencoe.
Lochaber Watersports in Loch Leven provide sailing dinghies for hire and offer learn to sail classed. The Glencoe Boatclub is an active sailing club and welcomes visitors and new members.
In Glencoe the mountain chairlift provides an opportunity to get up the mountains in the summer for great walking and fabulous views. In winter skiing and snowboarding is excellent at Scotland's oldest ski area.
