Welcome to Ballachulish Village

Once known and famous for its quality Ballachulish slate, Ballachullish today is a large village with its own identity and distinct location at the foot of one of the highest mountains in the area.

Just off the A82 and a short walk from Invercoe, Ballachullish offers accommodation and local services including a good visitor centre. You can take your own trip into the slate quarry and find out more about the world famous roofing material. On the other side of the A82, by the shore of Loch Leven, there is a good hotel and watersports centre for sailing and canoeing.

Ballachulish has its own Shinty team - which is a great game to watch.
